Parent Testimonials

“This is our 2nd child at Brereton Pre-school and we couldn’t be happier. The staff and care they offer are exemplary. We are well informed and involved in the different activities the children do. The weekly emails updating on the focus of the week help us to be actively involved: bringing in objects to support learning. Both of our children have made excellent progress and our eldest had a very easy transition into reception class because of the pre-school.”

Thank you

“My son attended Brereton Pre-school in 2016 and my daughter attends currently. We have been delighted with the standard of care provided. The high staff-to-child ratios ensures that every child receives appropriate care and attention. This is particularly important for the younger children (my daughter had only just turned 2 when she started). She has already developed more independence and confidence as a result of the enriching care provided by the staff, the activities provided and the interaction with the other children.

My son particularly benefited from the way the pre-school prepares children for the onward transition to school. From things such as spending an afternoon with the reception children at the adjacent school, having lunch in the school hall and practising changing into their PE kit, my son gained confidence and I have no doubt his transition to school was far easier as a result.

The pre-school organises several fundraising events a year, some tailored to adults and others to the children, such as band nights, discos, and fashion shows. as well as raising money for resources for the pre-school, these events help to increase the social interaction between the parents and children of the setting. Considering that the committee is made up of parents, many of whom work full time, they do a great job in helping to run the pre-school and organise events. They are also always on hand to provide support and advice on such matters as grant funding.

I would highly recommend this setting to others.”

“The staff at the pre-school work relentlessly to ensure they know each child individually, their abilities and their needs. They show every child love an care. They have fantastic communication skills with parents. The safety of the children is always top priority. Our son has developed academically during his time at the preschool. Staff have helped him develop his communication skills, which he puts to work every time he has been to preschool by telling us in detail what he has done and how much he has thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Our son began attending the preschool at the age of 3. This was after attending a private nursery from the age of 10 months. for the first term, Ben continued attending both settings as we felt consistency was important whilst he also got used to the transition to primary school. due to the amazing work of the staff at Brereton Preschool, we made the decision to move him to this setting only. Although Ben loved his nursery, he made the request to go the preschool for extra days, which is a credit to the setting.”

Thanks

“Our son Charlie attends Brereton Preschool and ou daughter attended prior to starting primary school. The preschool is not the closest one to our home and is a 15 minute drive away, but we wouldn’t go anywhere else. This is testament to just how fantastic the preschool is.

Our daughter Evie thrived at the preschool and our son, who only started in October 2017, has settled in amazingly well. His development has already come on so much.

Both our children havre loved going to the preschool and this is down to the wonderful, caring, passionate and fun loving preschool stuff, From the moment you walk in the door there is such a warm, friendly and homely feel, which we personally feel is essential in helping children to thrive.

We truly believe that this preschool gives the very best possible start for the next step up to primary school. This is proven with our daughter, who is doing exceptionally well in primary school after leaving preschool. She is exceeding targets in all developmental areas. our daughter loves going to school and we feel this is due to her fantastic, first positive experiences at Brereton Preschool.

We cannot thank the staff enough for making our children feel so safe and happy.

“Both our daughters have attended Brereton Preschool. My eldest attended a different preschool until the year before starting in reception & we transferred in order to prepare her for the move to school at the adjacent Brereton Primary. I only wish we had found the preschool earlier. Sharon and her team are all long standing staff members with a genuine love of children. The care they provide, in my opinion, is unrivalled in quality, education and fun. As the earliest a child can start at the preschool, is 2, my youngest had to attend a private nursery between the age 1 and 2. She cried every morning when I dropped her off which is heartbreaking for a parent. Within a week of starting at Brereton Preschool, she couldn’t wait to get there! Her social skills and confidence improved so dramatically in such a short space of time. The relationship that the preschool has with the primary school is invaluable and makes for a fluid and stress free transition to reception for both child and parent. I cannot recommend Brereton Preschool highly enough.”
